A cake for The Eleventh Hour
To celebrate the return of Doctor Who tonight, I thought it would be nice to bake a cake for the occasion.
The children and I hit Google to find a sponge recipe then popped to Tesco to pick up some flour, eggs, butter, two types of sugar, jam, cream, colouring, vanilla and two cake tins. We ended up managing with one tin as they were £7 each.
After spending £20, plus six hours of mixing, beating, folding, baking and piping, we are very proud of the result, it was our first ever cake after all.
